lonesome night in the empty bar
cups full of dreams just got me high
old man sipping his glass of wine
asked me if that weary face was mine
punk kids staring at the tv show
didn't care about rock and roll
i came out to the pouring rain
to drown myself in the omnipresent pain

streets were filled with the gloomy lights
darkness flew through the dead of night
i stopped for smoke on the empty square
then I saw her standing there
she was naked and barefoot
tears were falling down her face
she had leaves and flowers in her hair
and the moon was whispering her name

i still can see those magical eyes
i was thinking about them a thousand times
nothing to want and nothing to hide
hell and the heaven were dancing inside
police car lit the empty square
two cops came out to talk to her
they took her in and drove her away
and nobody ever saw her again
